Just my thoughts #0811

Influence of Time: Time has the power to change the values of this world and people’s minds. The passage of time—past, present, and future—is only significant to humans, and if there is an all-powerful God, it likely holds no meaning for Him. Time accomplishes many things, and God rules the world through it. As time progresses, people change, and the world changes as well. When time flows, the world transforms, and it is natural for humans to adapt to these changes. My attitude toward time influences my values, which in turn shape my actions and perspectives. My values do not influence time; rather, time influences me. Observation is not just seeing the world but also seeing myself. It is a wise attitude to judge both myself, who is affected by changing times, and the world, which is already in flux. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

The world grants power through the interpretation of phenomena , gaining support from many people. Acquiring power through interpretation is termed “interpretation supremacy.” Interpretation involves explaining and understanding the essential concepts that are often concealed in a phenomenon, yet are crucial to its existence. The media has embraced journalism for its capacity to rapidly disseminate facts to a broad audience. Journalism embodies interpretive supremacy. To make an impact in the world, I must be able to express myself and my actions in an engaging and accessible manner, leveraging various media to share my interpretations. With the prevalence of social media , all that is required now is the skill to interpret and seize interpretive supremacy, along with the capability to articulate it effectively. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

It’s a problem if you don’t make steady progress little by little every day; it’s not about whether your abilities are good or bad. Not everyone is the same, but often, quantity influences quality. The effort can be small and shouldn’t be overwhelming at once; regular and steady efforts are key. Therefore, you won’t be able to maintain that pattern under a heavy burden, but finding enjoyment is still possible. If few or no people can give me $100,000 a year, it’s more realistic to aim for $100,000 by having 1,000 people contribute 100 USD each year. Consistency is the only way to expand your inherent capabilities. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Capability belongs to the individual, while ability extends beyond the individual level, as it is essential for setting goals and achieving performance. This implies that one cannot accomplish results alone. To achieve results, there are factors that transcend the individual and are significantly influenced by kairos, situations, and relationships. No single person can control all of these elements. Kairos refers to divine timing, while situations arise from abilities and relationships, which persist as an authority. The effectiveness of a position is termed power, and Max Weber defined it as “the power to carry out one’s will regardless of the will of others.” - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

If capability defines whether you can do something, ability determines how far and how much you can exercise it. Capability is a possible state with a purpose, while ability is a state in which a specific objective is set for achievement. Therefore, without a goal, there is no actual ability. People with such excellent abilities are known as specialists. The result of ability is termed performance, which reflects how well the goal was achieved using that ability. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

What a person can do (possible) or cannot do (impossible) is referred to as that person’s CAPABILITY. Having a lot of CAPABILITY means that someone possesses many skills. Such individuals become generalists rather than specialists. A specialist is an expert in one field, possessing a prominent ABILITY, which gives them greater competitiveness in that area compared to others, while a generalist is often suited for roles like managers or investors who synthesize and evaluate information comprehensively. Additionally, a generalist can also become a type of specialist, depending on the choices made. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”
