Just my thoughts #0572

Most people study in school, yet the education system does not provide financial education. Even though it doesn’t take long for us to realize that finance is an essential element of survival, isn’t it strange that schools don’t offer financial education? Economic activity is a power game where someone wins and someone loses. One person’s loss is another’s gain, and my sacrifice is someone else’s fortune. In other words, economic activity embodies the harsh reality of deciding between discomfort and the uncertain odds of a game that determines who occupies a position, even though that position has already been predetermined. This issue is further exacerbated by the fact that people have different productive capacities and society mandates that the means of value exchange is cash (fiat currency). To survive, you must first understand how social systems function. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Little money makes people rich, while big money can make people poor. It’s about our attitude towards money . Money should neither be overlooked nor be ostentatious . However, what is certain is that if you ignore small amounts of money, high-quality money will not follow, and if you pursue only big money, there is a strong possibility of losing everything in an instant. A person’s attitude determines the nature of money, and the legitimacy of the way they make money affects the quality of that money . Not all money earned is equal; it varies in quality depending on how people treat it. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

If only interest is applied to the principal, it is ‘ simple interest ,’ and if interest is applied to the principal including former interest, it is ‘ compound interest .’ There are people who make money through simple interest and through compound interest. The same goes for spending money. The difference between simple interest and compound interest can create an unimaginable impact over time. Time is treated fairly for everyone, but if compound interest intervenes in the uniform application of time, the results of compound interest will vary greatly, even after the same duration has passed. Being poor also has a cost, which is paid by compound interest. If you want to be wealthy, you must earn compound interest, not simple interest. The best way to achieve this continuously is to engage in small but regular actions every day, whether it’s investing in stocks or acquiring knowledge . - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

The physical value of a book is a measurable cost of paper, printing, and labor charges , but estimating the value of the book’s contents is difficult. Most intangible values are similarly challenging to assess. We purchase the intangible value of a book at its physical price. When revenues are generated, the added value produced can be realized. These revenues arise solely from sales, which are based on price, not value. In essence, there is always an imbalance between price and value , and this imbalance determines whether one is wealthy or poor. Management is the act that shifts this imbalance in my favor. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

If I’m poor now, it means I’m more likely to become poorer in the future. Statistically , that’s the case. If you don’t have the money to go to the hospital now and you don’t seek treatment, you could suffer from cancer in the near future. Paying now reduces the risk of greater expenses later. Consequently, the rich can purchase the same goods or services at lower prices than the poor. The same principle applies to knowledge and health. Interest is a cost. If you don’t acquire knowledge, interest will accumulate, and if you neglect your health now, interest will also increase. We often forget that an expense is revenue for someone else. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

“Poverty charges interest,” said American singer Tay Zonday . If you don’t have money to buy toothpaste or a toothbrush , you will pay for the implant next year. This applies even to those with physical disabilities . People with disabilities often pay more for the average distance traveled. In contrast, the costs for the wealthy or non-disabled are cheaper and more efficient than those for others. Weakness is not merely a product of comparing superiority and inferiority. The moment I recognize my weakness, I must keep in mind the price I will pay in the future, and the world must charge me that interest. We often try to forget that this accumulation of poverty interest s makes us poorer. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Not all of them, but conservatism seeks to maintain vested interests , while liberalism aims to reform them. Although most wealthy individuals tend to adhere to conservatism, the poor generally support liberalism. However, when it comes to voting , the poor often choose conservatism because liberalism presents a realistic view, whereas conservatism embodies the future that the poor envision in reality. The world is not so simple. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

The poorer persons are, the more likely they are to consider the system they are in, not their abilities or character. The poor are more likely to choose to live in ways that make them poorer. It's not because they're stupid, it's because the system they're in leads them to make those choices. Rutker Bregman, a Dutch historian and author, says that everyone is forced to make such decisions when they are placed in this environment. The way out of this system is to change your worldview. Poverty is a state of being, not an outcome. - Joseph's "just my thoughts"
