Just my thoughts #0760

The foundation of intelligence is memory. Without memory, intelligence cannot develop or function properly. Creativity also relies on memory as a necessary prerequisite. Forgetting is also a phenomenon caused by memory. If there were no memory, there could be no forgetting. Without forgetting, memory capacity becomes overloaded, leading to various issues. From a memory perspective, forgetting is something to be grateful for. Essentially, intelligence is driven more by memory than by logic. The strength of memory shapes priorities and influences value formation. However, humans have eventually delegated memory to external tools outside of our consciousness, not our brains. These are called records. Examples include books and cell phones. Your cell phone is an extension of you. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

When you’re in a relationship, you shouldn’t judge the person based on how they treat you or others, but rather on how they treat themselves. Because when someone treats themselves well, they are unlikely to deceive themselves. This is also because, even if they do deceive themselves, you can often see the flaws in their contradictions in their appearance. Self-development and building relationships all begin within oneself. What I think of myself is the most important benchmark in my life. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Can I live by only meeting the people I need? Obviously, some people are essential to me, but not everyone I have a relationship with is there because I need them. So, shouldn’t we connect with people who are less needy? Is my criterion correct? The relationships I have now are a result of meeting both needed and unnecessary people. Regret doesn’t justify my current relationships. We have all encountered precious individuals. The plausible excuse is merely a convenient way to package my priorities and outcomes. Don’t deceive yourself. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”
