Just my thoughts #0480

This world is designed to favor the elderly. Gaining experience through trial and error first means that you have a competitive advantage over latecomers. It also occupies an advantageous position in social organization. This is the advantage that arises from being the first to start. However, the statement that 1 plus 1 equals 2 can be understood without any experience; it serves as an analytic proposition that can be known by reason compared to the aforementioned experiential proposition. In other words, in the realm of analytic propositions, the advantage of being older does not hold much weight. The world needs both experiential propositions and analytic propositions, but experience is not always essential. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

I believe it’s accurate to say that “branding is about suggesting a way of life.” Instead of just stating, “Buy ice cream,” it’s more meaningful to say, “Buy ice cream for the children waiting for their dad at home.” It’s about suggesting a lifestyle, not merely a product. It’s better to imply, “You can enjoy a warm meal with your loved one after a while,” rather than simply saying, “Come to our restaurant.” The definition, role, and function of branding evolve as times change. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Leaders delegate, while bosses manage. Organizations that have numerous meetings and extensive reporting are led by bosses, not leaders. Another factor contributing to this phenomenon is that the work being performed is viewed not as a product but as a project. Product work emphasizes customer experience, whereas project work relates to compliance deadlines. Consequently, project work involves many meetings and reporting. Dysfunctional organizations are characterized by excessive meetings, while successful organizations prioritize conversations over meetings. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

When desire intersects with imagination, a product emerges. A product driven solely by desire tends to be unappealing and struggles to capture market interest. Conversely, one built solely on imagination may fall short in practicality and fail to deliver full satisfaction. Desire fuels imagination, while imagination brings us closer to fulfillment. Integrating design into this process constitutes product planning, which brings the product to fruition. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

The product itself that needs to be sold and developed is the media, but many people plan products to sell on the media. If you cannot accept the world that the product has become the media, you will be ruined. Digital tools have turned the virtual world into reality, and social media is turning it into revenue. Manufacturing is no longer a smokestack industry. It is a world in which it is difficult to plan even the products sold in a mom-and-pop store without considering the media. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

If I'm trying to sell you a product, it's proof that I don't understand marketing and branding. Marketing and branding were never invented to sell, but these things were born so that the product could be sold in the first place. - Joseph's "just my thoughts"
