There are two main ways humans can generate income: sales power and volatility. Added value is continuously created through production, which involves actions to generate this added value. By adding new layers of value to basic ones, additional value is created—for example, making bread from wheat flour. The ability to persuade someone to buy this added value is known as sales power. Therefore, VAT is a tax paid by the final consumer. When sales power is strong, a significant amount of added value remains, leading to wealth accumulation. The second method is volatility. We can buy and sell assets that create either fundamental or added value. The former includes items like gold or commodities, while the latter refers to companies and assets such as stocks. Volatility occurs because prices fluctuate based on the sales power of producers, creating added value, and the balance between supply and demand for assets. If only interest is applied to the principal, it is ‘simple interest,’ and if interest is applied to the principal including former interest, it is ‘compound interest.’ There are people who make money through simple interest and through compound interest. The same goes for spending money. The difference between simple interest and compound interest can create an unimaginable impact over time. Time is treated fairly for everyone, but if compound interest intervenes in the uniform application of time, the results of compound interest will vary greatly, even after the same duration has passed. Being poor also has a cost, which is paid by compound interest. If you want to be wealthy, you must earn compound interest, not simple interest. The best way to achieve this continuously is to engage in small but regular actions every day, whether it’s investing in stocks or acquiring knowledge.

Most people substitute the issue of choice with the issue of ability. They recognize they cannot do it because scaring to make the wrong choice or lack the knowledge. Banks pay me 1 to 2 percent interest annually on deposits but charge me 4 to 5 percent on loans. It's a game where I'm losing money in every way. Then, I want to avoid putting my money in the bank. It would be better to use it to purchase that bank's stocks as a substitute but meticulous care is required. To make a choice, you have to conquer your fears. The Anchoring Heuristic In 1974, Tversky and Kahneman divided two groups and asked one group to calculate the value of "8x7x6x5x4x3x2x1" and the other group to answer the question "1x2x3x4x5x6x7x8" immediately. The average calculation result of the first group was 2,250, and that of the second group was 512. For both groups, the original answer is 40,320, which is the same.
