Convergence : A phenomenon where a specific value or level moves toward a certain standard . A bubble occurs when a community’s value rises excessively due to overestimation , while an undervalued state is the opposite. Both eventually settle at a balanced value recognized by the community , called convergence. Bubbles and undervaluation represent states at any given time. If a seller sets a product at an excessively high price, it won’t sell indefinitely, and the seller will eventually lower the price. Market prices tend to converge. There isn’t a single correct market value, but converged values exist, and this phenomenon gives the market its meaning and existence. There’s no need to be arrogant when doing well, as your high wages will eventually align with the market price. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

Value of Quantity: A phenomenon where the quality of a system changes once the amount of a single element surpasses a certain threshold. For example, if a restaurant that can normally serve up to 50 guests per day consistently has 100 customers daily, the capacity limit expands, and the quality of service improves. Of course, if they respond poorly, the service quality can decrease, but the outcome depends on the restaurant’s internal capabilities. Success or failure hinges on how we manage the excess amount beyond our capacity. Stock prices also depend on trading volume. Stocks tend to change their behavior only when a specific trading volume is reached. The good news is that stock prices can spike abruptly, but if the volume isn’t high enough, they can quickly fall. Compared to the era of a self-sufficient barter economy , everyone’s happiness is greater in the exchange economy , where each person divides their labor into what they do best and exchanges what they produce. This is because the division of labor is more efficient than self-sufficiency in productivity and can further reduce production costs. At this point, a means of exchange agreed upon by society is required, which is called money (currency). In other words, in the exchange economy, specialists who excel in one field are more advantageous for survival than ordinary people. An all-round player is more likely to face starvation. Therefore, a generalist is only advantageous for survival when they can organically integrate their diverse abilities in a specific field or situation, while also managing and restricting the scope of their activities and conditions. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

The most important aspect of investing is managing risk. However, in most cases, risk management is interpreted and assessed in relation to past patterns. When asset prices fall, the perceived risk appears significant. That doesn’t imply there weren’t risks; investors simply didn’t recognize the risks that originally existed. The level of risk is almost identical whether the price of an asset goes up or down, but when prices decline, they tend to drop further because fear prevents us from purchasing more assets, leading us to retreat. It’s not that the risk has escalated. It is unwise to link risk with past patterns. There have been numerous exceptions in the world, and many beings on this planet have disappeared because they could not adapt. Did dinosaurs not become extinct on Earth ? Exceptions are exceptions because they are unpredictable. - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”

At Berkshire Hathaway ’s 2013 shareholders’ meeting, Warren Buffett said, “I’ve owned 400 to 500 companies’ stocks in my lifetime, but only about 10 of them made the most money.” His lifelong friend and investment partner, Charlie Munger , added, “With the exception of some of Berkshire Hathaway’s best investment practices , long-term performance is near-average.” Many people know Warren Buffett’s return on investment better than his mistakes or failures. It’s because of those 10 companies that he succeeded in investing. If there is a positive, there must be a negative. It’s better to prepare a realistic alternative in case you fail than to try to avoid failing. Humans are probabilistic beings . - Joseph’s “just my thoughts”
